What are we going to
see on this tour?
We’ve compiled a database of over 200 movie
scenes from more than 100 movies filmed in San
Francisco. Visit our “What
You’ll See” page for more details.
This is the only city tour you will need to take in San Francisco. We visit all the major neighborhoods in the City, including Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach, Nob Hill, Union Square, Civic Center, Alamo Square, Haight/Ashbury, Golden Gate Park, Presidio, Fort Point/Golden Gate Bridge, and Pacific Heights.
Where does the
tour start and finish?
The tour starts and finishes in front of the Red and White Fleet terminal on Pier 43 ½ at Fisherman's Wharf.
What about pick-up?
We provide pick-up at convenient, main tourist locales:
| Union Square: |
Northeast corner of Geary and Powell on Union Square across from Macy’s Department Store at 10:00 am. |
| Nob Hill: |
In front of the Fairmont Hotel @ 950 Mason St (between California and Sacramento) at 10:10 am. |
| Fisherman’s
Wharf: |
Trips depart Pier 43 ½ at 10:30 a.m. We request that you arrive there about 10 minutes before the tour departure to process payment, so we can leave at 10:30 am sharp. We do not have a retail presence at this location, so you will see our bus pull up in front of the Red and White Fleet terminal. |
How long is the tour?
Tour is 3 hours long.
Will we stop along the
way?
Your tour includes 2 breaks, each of which provides restroom facilities. Your first break is at San Francisco’s world class City Hall. Your second break takes you to the quintessential San Francisco movie location - Fort Point - where Kim Novak leaps into the water at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge and Jimmy Stewart saves her in Vertigo. We also have numerous photo stops along the way featuring famous San Francisco landmarks and movie locations, including North Beach’s Washington Square Park, Alamo Square/Painted Ladies, and Inspiration Point.
When does the tour start?
We are currently operating one tour daily with a departure time of 10:30 am from Pier 43 ½ at Fisherman’s Wharf. We provide pick up at the above designated locations at the following times:
Union Square: 10:00 am
Nob Hill: 10:10 am
Please note that we do not return to these locations at the end of the tour. The tour ends at Fisherman’s Wharf.
Beginning in mid-June 2009 we will expand to our customary summer schedule of 2 tours daily. The second tour will begin at 2:30 pm at Pier 43 ½ on Fisherman’s Wharf. We will not be providing any pick ups for our 2:30 pm tour.
Where does the tour end?
The tour ends at Fisherman’s Wharf. This provides an excellent opportunity to grab a late lunch at the wharf. If you do need to get to another place in the City, just ask our guides for comprehensive directions.
